Back from great spots

I've just returned from a 3-day journey to probably the most impressive spots in Switzerland – and Europe: the Gornergrat at Zermatt and the Aletschgletscher.

We took a train that climbs up to 3090m above the sea level. At the top station we enjoyed the panorama of five or more glaciers and more than ten 4000m summits, normally including the world-famous Mattterhorn, which was covered by clouds at that moment. If you like to be on the top and to enjoy a really unique experience then go there - at least once in your life.

Next day we were heading to Europe's longest glacier, the Aletschgletscher. I bet the view from the top at these millions of tons of ice is one of the most breathtaking you can have in the Alpes. A must to go, too.

Great inspiration for the coming week!

Volkmar
