BPM in 2009

During the current financial crisis, Gartner expects many of the enterprises that have implemented multiple BPM-IT projects in 2008 to consolidate their BPM technologies, while expanding their efforts in 2009.

That is, they will make more use of the BPM suites that they keep and also look for opportunities to unleash the full potential of business process management in their organisations.

The fittest will not only survive, but win: according to Harvard Business Review, March 2009, recessions shake up industries. In fact, 15% of today's market leaders vaulted to the top during the 2000 slow-turn.
