Forget the “But”

We are all surrounded by Yes-But-Men.

  • Mobile phone providers offer unlimited minutes, but … not between 7am and 6pm.
  • Banks offer accounts for free, but … only if your minimum amount is more than ten thousand bucks.
  • Consultants promise to help you, but … only as long as you pay them for long working hours.

The Yes-But-Men are driven by one force: risk avoidance, which is based on uncertainty and mistrust. Read more on this in our previous blog

Let me ask you this: How much business do you lose by saying “but…”?

Probably it is much more than you think, but… you don’t realize it because you don’t count. Meanwhile other players with a less “buts” win more business.

Let me suggest you this: Get rid of your “but”.

Don’t ask your accountants or lawyers for permission. You will never get it. As leader and entrepreneur, just do it.
