This is too boring!

What does each of us want to avoid? Boredom! We all love fascinating stuff, things that we find motivating, inspiring, or at least interesting. We perceive dealing with boring items as a waste of time and energy.
So, if all of us want to minimise boring moments in life let me ask you this:
Why are so many organizations incredibly boring?
Be honest: When was the last time you were really excited about something within you company (that was related to your work)? And when was the last time that the leadership team inspired the employees?
Only emotions make people act.
And emotions are the opposite of boredom. Here are three things you as a leader can do to make your organization less boring.
- Make your vision fascinating for your people. They should immediately want to start getting there.
- Show your passion to others. Be inspiring. Not an easy task for some of you I guess. Get a coach or mentor to help you.
- Change patterns. Move things regularly. You do not have to (and you should not) reinvent the company's setup each day, but do something new from time to time, at least each week.
Boring companies attract boring people.
As a leader, you need to change the former first to create a positive impact on the latter.
