What is your strategy velocity?

All organizations and even individuals talk about strategy. Yes, it is important to have a strategy. And yes, you need a clear vision to create it (see our blog 3 Steps to a Clear Strategy). The next question to ask yourself is: "What is my strategy velocity?" There is no need for a game plan that will be implemented in three years, or never.

A few days ago I discussed with a former business partner the progress of a new division strategy they were developing last year. We're still fine-tuning implementation plans and completing a strategy audit, he said. Aha, I thought, and your clients and the market sit and wait until you are through the process?!

Don't fall in the same trap. Strategy implementation must start tomorrow.

Next Friday we will provide you with three strategy accelerators.
